Sometimes people say, “Omigosh, why do you share all this?”  Sometimes I want to help others, and sometimes I know that if I don’t get this up in the cloud, I will lose it before the other three kids get to this grade.  HA!  That’s this post.  I can’t imagine there’s a huge demand for this, but at the end of the year, MoDG has you “diagram 5 sentences” a lot.  If you’re like me, you don’t remember it well enough to jump out into random sentences after doing the Daly text. So, I’m posting my diagrams so I don’t LOSE them!  Let me know if you find any errors.  I’m NEW to this. (The second doc corrects two sentences that we’re wrong in the first doc.)

Thanks!

I can’t find the Writing Handbook. The guide that downloads from the quick link on the sidebar is only 108 pages. Do you have a link?

I LOVE your site! I’m going to go play around on it.

Hi Deanna!

I, too, marvel at how you persevere here. I have really enjoyed reading so many of your posts and am glad to follow and keep track. :-)

Do yourself a huge favor! Get the Loyola U Writing Handbook and go to page 297, section J. It’s got what we needed in the early grades! Why they didn’t do this in the other books I do not understand, probably partisans of the implicit method bunch (bleh).

I made very helpful charts for this on my second website here:

I hope they’re helpful to you and yours. Any and all suggestions are most welcome. :-)
